I successfully installed an inverter that allows me to watch TV in the coach without running the generator or having it plugged in, but I have one more question for electrically informed members.
I noticed that the inverter has a three pronged outlet, but is not itself grounded other than the ground wire in the coach. I assume that there is not a problem, but the RV standard of having the neutral and ground not connected make me question whether the outlet is somehow 'grounded', or is simply there to allow us to plug in any cord that may be attached to an appliance.
Thanks to anyone that can clear this up for me. I really try to keep 120 volt systems as safe as possible.
