Someone asked me for information on the "Picker Hose" I use to route cool
air to my air cleaner. I stopped at the local John Deere dealer to see
what they now have.
P/N A66761 is a 3" x 102" plastic hose which it appears would work very
well, though it's not as tough as the 4" hose I used. They want $63 for it
here, but this Google-found source is a little cheaper & will ship. The
102" length would make 3 air cleaner inlet hoses, or one plus, perhaps,
some cockpit fresh air vent hoses.

The local dealer also had, at a remote warehouse, 4" hose for $4.90 per
foot (strange that larger, tougher hose is cheaper). That's probably the
same hose I use. That is a much stiffer hose, of rubber coated fabric,
which must be reduced to the size of the air cleaner inlet. I use a rubber
plumbing pipe adapter. Clamped to the hose and friction fitted on the air
cleaner, it works very well.
Hope this helps some of those not fortunate enough to live in Cotton
Country. :-)
