Hi, It was with great embarrassment that I had to call Jim Bounds this morning. I had purchased a Firefight system from him for the coach a couple of weeks ago and was installing it yesterday. The system has a 90 degree valve on it that you open AFTER the remote head and stainless steel hose is connected. Well, as I was pulling the fire bottle out of the area where I was going to install it the valve hooked on something and the entire bottle unloaded inside the cab of the GMC. It was probably a couple of quarts of foam at 300 psi I guess. Fortunately the foam does an excellent job of cleaning the dust and bugs off the dashboard and ceiling. It's great on leather seats and not bad on carpet. If It had a nice coconut or pine scent I'd recommend that Jim start selling it in spray cans as a cleaner.

Jim was kind enough not to laugh too loud and said he would fill it for me at no charge. I'm going to insist that I pay the freight as it costs a few extra bucks to ship the pressurized bottle. So.... lessons learned

1. Put a pipe plug in the open end of the valve.

2. Be careful.

3. Always buy from the GMC vendor guys as you never know when you will screw up and need help.

thanks JimB

Thanks
