Good Morning

Just got back from north of Toronto, had a great trip and put on about 1,600
miles. Coach ran like a top ! Saw 2 other GMC's along the way, a Green Palm
Beach at the border coming back into the U.S. at Port Huron and a Cream & Blue
one on I94.

3 small problems....
1. Bad gas smell in the coach when I filled the tanks completely full (I had
posted this earlier), when I only put in 20 gallons at a time, no smell. I will
drop the rear tank to see what's going on. Will drop both tanks if necessary.
Just dropped the tanks last August to check how clean they were, etc. and didn't
have any problems last fall. Kind of a pain to drop the tanks again, but oh well
!

2. Fuse on the dedicated main line to the leveling system compressors keeps
blowing, I built my new leveling system several years ago and never had this
problem. I replace the fuse, start up, the systems levels, when I stop for gas
I check it and the fuse is blown. It's a dedicated line from a fuse block
directly under the hood back to the compressors. I will check the entire line
for a wear spot, rodent damage or ???

3. THIS I NEED TO FIX FAST....The auxiliary brake vac pump does not always kick
in when vac is low. Crawling through Chicago traffic yesterday I hit the brakes
and the dang pedal hits the floor....this also happened in Toronto crawling
across the 401 in rush hour.....GEEZ !!! Then all of a sudden it kicks in.
Can those vac switches be replaced ??

Overall a great trip, this is even hard for me to believe, but I kept dead nuts
mileage and gas usage records and we averaged 10.2 MPG. That's with the new
3:70 final drive and running about 70 MPH on the freeways. Also according to my
records our mileage since the installation of the 3:70 has averaged 9.35 MPG as
compared to 8.95 with the 3:42 final drive that came with our coach. The only
other change this spring is I had Dick Paterson rebuild that carb which has been
great. The coach now starts perfect, fast idle works, etc.

All input is appreciated, thanks and have a great day !
