Though the most serious PO was meticulous about maintenance, someone did the coach an serious injustice. At some time, probably to get the black tank down, the two 1-1/2 at the rear corner were bastardized. It seems they managed to reuse one coupling, but destroyed the other. What they did leave didn't matter because they used steel pipe to screw into the black tank fittings. The remains of the original coupling are probably not usable. Of course I get to work on most of this stuff on my back under the jacked up coach.

So, both of the black tank female threaded opening need to be reconstructed. I may have a local guy that can weld them in, but he does not have the 1-1/2 NPTF in poly to weld in there and I have had no success in locating a supplier. (yes, I sent JimK an e-mail.)

Has anybody else had to re-work this area?
If it was successful, can you tell me what you used?

Matt
