Welcome aboard. I've often wondered about Bud & Marlene -- she hasn't
posted here for a long time. How are they doing -- aside from no longer
travelling?

I don't know them well - just met them a couple times when purchasing the coach. Marlene told me Bud has had a couple heart surgeries and his doctor made him give up the excitement of owning a GMC.
After studying GMCs for a few months I felt really privileged to meet people who were part of the culture, and had collected all kinds of spare parts, newsletters, even old GMC magazine ads.
When I put down the deposit they even gave me a GMC Hot Wheels toy - still on the original card.
Driving it away from their home I definitely had mixed feelings - happy for me, sad for them. They called their coach "Big Jim" and it had its own GMC-sized garage.
I've re-christened it "The DreamLiner" because here in Idaho a single guy can get some funny looks if he says things like "I'm taking Big Jim for a ride."
