I also run pickup wheels - from a Chevy and they work just fine, but I needed new lug nuts, and that added to the cost.  I had hoped to find a set from a GMC so the hubcaps matched, but no joy.

Regarding pressure, I run 60 and it seems to be about right, at least from the appearance of the bulge of the sidewalls.  The "proper" pressure is determined mostly by the vehicle manufacturer, modified a little if the tire has a different section.  The 225/70 is about the same as the original, so I suspect the tire pressure should be about the same as original - anyone disagree?  Then the tire buyer is supposed to buy a tire that is capable of at least that pressure (max inflation pressure is on the sidewall).  If the tire is rated at "only" 44 psi I suspect it also doesn't have the load rating it needs.  But I might be mistaken.

From unknown person:
I am running the dodge front wheels.  they mount lug centered.

they were a inexpensive way to widen the front end.  I believe I noticed improvement in handling.  I went from 16.5 wheels to the dodge.  I am running I think a 255 70 16. I am very happy with the results.

In the tire size, I think tires were a little more costly.  and limited on selection.  However not to a point of being too much of a concern.  just slightly less choices.  I also went with what I thought was equal to stock tire size to keep speedo and gearing in check.  not sure if a  person runs bigger or smaller tires what hey might cost or change.

What I noticed in the wider tire, was that the tire inflation pressures were a bit less.  max pressure on my tires is 44 psi. but it is E rated.

that lower PSI seemed to be common in that size.  I know the BFG AT in that size, you can pump up to 65 psi.
