I opened the valve on the propane tank today, Had a wiff of propane when opening the valve that went away when it was fully open.

Can I replace the packing on the valve?

If it's in the MM, I couldn't find it.

As an aside, I have a fully functional Solaire. It's quiet, too. My only observation is that it does not see to be too efficient (based on temperature of the products of combustion). Is that typical/expected?
