That's the exact same unit my GMC has, except that mine works like new. It'll run you out of the coach, in fact. It may be worth a try to see what's wrong with it. It may be something simple, like a bad connection. Those old A/Cs were built to be pretty robust. It may be worth your while to get an A/C tech to check it out.
There's a drug store on the square in Athens, Tx. that uses a water-cooled unit from the 50's that still works. It has a rebuildable cast-iron compressor that has been rebuilt a few times. The water cooling tower was made of cypress & still does the job. Remember, just because it's old don't mean it's worthless. A lot of us would be gone if that were the case...
