When the kids were little, we had two pieces of plywood that came in
handy. I turned the captains chairs (a la Jim Bounds) facing each other
and put one piece across. AIr mattress and one kid was fine. I had
another that sat on top of cleats I installed in front of the couch
under the bunk and on the dinette and covered with cushions from the
rear bed/couch...Viola a wall to wall bed. With the bunk and this
setup, we regularly slept 5/6 kids in the front and we still had the
back to ourselves. Considered installing another bunk above the dinette
but figured the kids would grow up...which they did! Now they sleep in
their tents with boy/girlfriends and just us the GMC for the toilet and
food....
