Hello,
I saw a GMC with a shortened exaust syatem.
The pipes came out under the body a few feet behind the drivers seat, with i think a stainless steel guard fitted.
Would seem a good idea to stop heating up the underside, fuel tanks etc.
Also running the engine while in the back bedroom, you would not have to worry so much about engine exaust fumes getting in the back sectiom.
Yes i know the gen is a problem also, that seems to have been solved with a long extension pipe, that takes the fumes way inro the air.
While on this topic, on the spares coach a 1973, the wooden box covering the Gen was leaking all over the place, allowing CO fumes into the back section.........
If you have an early coach make sure you seal it totally ....

I did wonder if the shortened length of the exaust system, could have any detrimental effect on the engine ??. With the shortened lengh, one would think, that a difference in pressure could result ???
Knowing next to nothing about exaust systems, i thought some of you out there would have some good advice on this topic.
