G'day,

Collectively we put together a good document on Fire Prevention.

http://www.gmceast.com/technical/Mueller_GMCer-Fire-Guide.pdf

I'd like to do the same thing for Winterizing / mothballing.

The principle is to have the coach ready to roll in the spring.

This is brainstorming, suggest whatever you like, there are no right or wrong things to suggest!

These items are in no specific order we can organize them later.

Change engine oil
Change engine oil filter
Check transmission fluid / change if near recommended interval
Change transmission oil filter if transmission oil changed
Check air filter / change if required
Check radiator level / change anti-freeze if near recommended interval - (can someone recommend an interval)
Check final drive fluid level / change final drive fluid if near recommended interval
Check / lubricate distributor centrifugal advance
Check brake fluid / change every other year
Grease wheel bearings (if near recommended interval)
Grease front end / steering
Grease bogies
Drain fresh water supply tank
Drain water heater
Flush and drain black water tank
Purge water from hot and cold water supply lines
Fill hot and cold water supply lines with anti-freeze
Fill "S" and "P" traps with anti-freeze
Check battery fluid levels
Remove AFFF fire extinguishers from coach
Lift coach off tires and store on jack stands
Bleed pressure off rear suspension air bags
Rotate tires as per maintenance manual
Place mouse traps inside coach
Cover tires
Cover GMC
Fill fuel tanks to the MAX
Use Stabil, Seafoam, or some other fuel stabilizer
Install dehumidifier in humid climates and open all closets / storage areas

It's lunch time so I'll quit for the moment!

When we finish this we can do a de-winterizing / mothballing procedure too.

Regards,
Rob M.
