Hi All,
I have the 4,000 to 9,000 Mr Heater .
It has the automatic shutoff feature with low Oxygen.
I was curious as to how it worked It had to be complicated.
There is a Thermocouple below the heating Element fed by a Pilot Flame
coming up a tube from the igniter.
The Pilot Flame is ignited in a small combustion Chamber ,which limits the
Oxygen flow to the Flame ,there is just enough Oxygen supplied to keep the
flame lit ,if its restricted the Flame goes out and the Heater turns off.
Now the good part , it has a Shield that says Design Certified.
I would only trust a Heater that was tested by an Independent Lab like
Underwriters like all of our old American Appliances use to have And there
Seal
Now the bad part , normal atmospheric Oxygen is 20.8 % Humans start having
problems at less than 19.5 % like Respiration volume increases ,muscular
coordination diminishes, attention and clear thinking requires more effort.
That is a very small Window to work in.
Oxygen Monitors with Alarms are expensive.
Now back to thinking ,about a Fourth Wife .I think I will go for Money this
time, instead of Love.(LOL)
