I had a bit of time yesterday so installed the air bag extenders which raise the stock air bags about 2" or so. My purpose was to see if that would drop the proper ride height air pressure from 91psi in my 78 Royale to something lower so I could get more up travel for leveling while still staying within the 100psi limit on the wireless air manifold. It looks like with the air bag extenders the proper ride height pressure will settle in around 75psi. I can't really tell until I drive it a bit and no time to do that yesterday. If the suspension does settle in to proper ride height with the wireless air system set around 75 to 80psi then that will be a worthwhile change for any of you with stock rear air bags and the wireless air controller. With 20 to 25psi of up air leveling we should be able to get the stock up/down leveling travel with no problem.

Now, for those of you who have been around longer than the ten years I have, are there any down sides or unintended consequences to running the stock air bags with these risers in place? I would imagine the ride will be a bit softer, but does it become softer to a fault like wallowing or bobbing or cause untoward handling of any sort? Thanks.
