On my last trip to Goshen to the GMCMI convention and then to Michigan for a couple of weeks, I threw an alternator fan belt on the way back to Santa Fe.
I had a hard time finding a replacement that was larger than 10 mm. Goodyear, Gates, and Kelly Springfield have all changed their 11 mm (7/16") belts to 10 mm without changing the part numbers.

I had success in the past buying at Autozone - however this time their 57.5" belt was labeled "15573, replaces Old 15573, 1.0 cm". This is clearly a 10 mm belt and a 10 mm open end wrench will fit over it. After stopping at 3 different Autozones I finally found one that had old stock labeled "15573, 11AV1455, 1.1 cm x 1.5 m". This is an 11 mm belt and works fine on the GMC.

One of the Autozones I stopped at had 15575 belts that say "replaces 15573". These also measured 10 mm.

So it looks like one of the last stores carrying 11 mm belts has now changed to 10 mm.

In the past I had reported that NAPA carries two llines of belts. NBH and PBH.
The NBH belts are made by Gates and are 10 mm. The 11mm belts all have the prefix PBH and have the following part numbers. They are made by a company named Cadna which is an OEM supplier to Hyundai, Kia and Mercedes Benz.

They are:

Air conditioner, 403 PBH 401-7603

Air conditioner, 455 PBH 401-7619

Alternator 403&455 PBH 401-7570

Water Pump & Power Steering 403 & 455 PBH 401-7450

Water Pump & Power Steering 403 & 455 (shorter) PBH 401-7445

HOWEVER, after getting home I went to my local NAPA to get a spare and they did not stock the PBH line. They looked it up in their catalog and it shows that it is also apparently now a 10 mm belt.

For the new owners, I want to point out that the 10 mm belts ride low in the GMC Motorhome pulleys and will slip and squeal. The 10 mm probably works fine for smaller engines but for the 403 and 455 engines used in GMC motorhomes there is just too much torque for the 10 mm belts to work properly.

Does anyone know of any supplier that would still have 11 mm belts other than old stock?

If not we may have to determine if we can get replacement pulleys in a 1/2" size that will fit our GMC Motorhomes and convert to 1/2" belts.
