I took the BWD and ran the GMC down to the Atlanta Expo Center South for a four day show. Coach ran like a top down and back, cruise helps on the freeways. I run it 60 per or so, and it handles reasonably. Couldn't refulel when I got home, my station hadd all the 'regular' pumps marked out of order. I ain't buying the extra price when we're talking about 30-40 gallons. So, fuel burn report later.
Site had electric hookup, no water or sewer. I took a full tank of fresh water, it looks to be about half empty on the return. I figure the blackwater has about the same in it.
I'll install the vacuum pump this weekend, it's needed on hills. The coach has a new Coleman roof A/C, which is not really adequate for 95+ degree days on a large asphalt lot with no shade and no clouds. Midafternoon, she's 80 - 83 degrees inside, with the A/C runnig full blast since the night before, and starting the day in the low 60s inside. I have shades on the side windoews, awnings both sides, and the stock curtains in the windshiled, which was facing west.
I'm gonna see if I can get some reflective covers for the windshield. Most of the heat seems to be coming from there. Also, the roof wasn't buffed when the coach was shined up, maybe polishing it will make it reflect better. I may try the 10x10 popup, and raise it high enough to go over the front of the coach, that should help also.
I notice when I got home, the house battery is way discharged. Troubleshooting is in order. The solar array had been keeping it charged nicely. Also, the fridge doesn't wat to cool on electricity - it's a fairly new Norcold. Works great on gas, and doesn't use a lot. Kept my veggies frozen all weekend wothout problems.
Chattanooga in two weeks... keep watching this space.
