I own and operate a small auto collision repair business in Seattle. I had very limited experience with smc panels and no experience with cross bonding materials and procedures(aluminum to smc etc) and NO experience with gmc motor homes. After much internet and phone research with "experts" in the aircraft and composite panel industries I ended up with the "correct" cross bonding adhesive which we have been using for 10 or more years to
bond(instead of welding) welded replacement car panels. (Talk about chasing your tail) Then I pestered my local 3m rep and eventually was referred to a composite knowledgeable rep in the Seattle area who guided me to the process I described in the photos.
