I dug into my AC unit last night.
Pulled the heater core and tried to pull the evap.

This is on a '75 transmode with a recirculation Door

I found 6 screws holding it all together, 2 up by the Fan, 2 on the drivers side under the heater core and 2 holding the metal lines onto the airbox.

It still wouldn't budge.

What am I missing? Did GM use those special high inaccessiem screws again?

I did loosen the bottom of the box and felt behind the evaporator and it feels clean, and blowing compressed air though it only blew out a few bugs. So I may not NEED to remove it....
