Rick,
Your trip brings back memories ! We lived in Whitefish, MT for 3
years while I worked on the construction of the Hungry Horse Dam, That was
many years ago but we have been back to visit many times and some in our
'77 GMC. My wife grew up in Kalispell about 30 miles south of Hungry Horse.
Great country. Hard winters but beautiful summers.
Because of the altitude, I was concerned about the GMC but it
never let us down.
Good luck and enjoy the rest of your trip.

We have made it to West Glacier without any mechanical issues. The
patched water tank is holding well and all other devices seem to be working as
intended.
We spent the last two nights in Hungry Horse and are moving on today to
the east side of the park in St. Marys.
We saw another GMC in the parking lot at Old Faithful last Monday. Hung
around a while to see if the owners returned but no luck.
Weather has been terrible, rain and more rain. I have not used the wipers
since the steering box seal blew out. I took the filter out of the brass
nipple in the wiper valve, it was full of black stuff. RainX on the
windshield is working pretty good for now.
Got the Remflex gaskets from Jim K and installed them. What a difference!
Big thanks to Jim K for all his help and encouragement!!!
Gotta go pack up and move on.
