G’day,

Ben Franklin once said; “Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days.

I spent a week at Chuck and Cathy’s and despite taking showers daily I
reckon I was a bit “on the nose.”

I headed for Roger and Donna Black’s abode in Burns, TN where once again I
was provided with more GMC (or was it Southern) hospitality. Roger and I
solved the ills of the world in just a few hours so then it was on to
Memphis.

I called Tom Eckert and Dennis Sexton to see if they were free. Dummy that I
am I forgot today was Mother’s day. Dennis was tied up but Tom, Sara, and I
had dinner at a great Tex-Mex restaurant.

Dennis is going to give me a call early in the AM so we can have breakfast
and get together before I head for JoAnne Bissell’s in Little Rock to pickup
the Zip Dee awning.

From there it’s back “home” to Humble, TX so I can finish up a few jobs on
Double Trouble and yank the engine and trans out of the VW to see what kind
of shape they’re in.

You may have noticed there’s nothing about the GMC in this message that’s
because nothing went wrong. Here’s what went right – driving along I-40 –
70p mph – let go of the steering wheel – coach goes STRAIGHT AHEAD! THANK
YOU DAVE LENZI!!

The steering wheel has between ½” to ¾” play driving down the road.

Regards,

Rob M.
