air line rupture - ideas? [message #124144]

The plastic tubing that goes from my compressor to the tank keeps blowing. The rupture occurs when just above the fitting where it attaches to the air compressor. My theory is that the tubing gets weak when it gets hot, then ruptures. The fitting does get awfully hot. Incidently the compressor shuts down when the tank has 98 pound,s of pressure so I know it is not blowing due to over pressure. Any thoughts?
