I recently bought a replacement isolator for my coach & it has 4 posts instead of the normal 3. According to the instruction sheet, it is for the sense wire from the alternator. I've been wondering if I should hook it up to the alternator that way instead of how it is now. Would there be any benefit? Would it do similar to installing the APC on the alternator & would it provide an accurate indication of battery charge? It works fine as-is but it's something to consider...
