What about those small, swept back boomerang type antennas you used to see on the rear trunks of limos? I have one that I hooked up to a HDTV, and it seems to work fine here in Chicagoland. I've never tried it away from town, so I'm not sure what the range is like.

I also replaced the large roof radio antenna with a short one that JimB got me. Looks a lot better and seems to work fine.
