A list of Upfitters I have compiled over the years. Cities where
based-where known. I had planned to write an article about Upfitters from
the ongoing research but as they say, never got a round tuit.

In no particular order: (is retail price ofconversion)
LRP Lake Geneva, WI
Norris Coach, Bean Station, TN & other locations
Roll-A-Long, Santana, Long Beach, CA ($10,650)
Hughes, Orangeville, ONT, CAN
Coachmen, Royale and Birchaven
Foretravel, Nacogdoches, TX
Landau, Anaheim, CA ($14,900)
Midas Intl, Elkhart, IN ,
Reddy Kamp
Belmont, CAN
Silver Motor Coach, Costa Mesa, CA
Busi-Body
Eldorado Industries, Princess, Minneapolis, IN ($9,172)
Avion, Benton Harbor, MI ($8,600)
Elegant Coach Co, Bloomington, MN
Fun Craft/Rek Vee, ONT, CAN

It might be interesting to see how pricing was done.

GM T&C suggested retail for the 26' Transmode was $17,058 (1976)
To that Shipping $650-$900 depending on distance
Dealer prep $150-$200 Tax, tag, and popular options would put the
Transmode in the $20k range.

On top of that custom interiors by the Upfitters ranged from
$8500-$15,000 for a total in the area aof $28.5 to $35k

By contrast an Eleganza II suggested base price was $25,008 plus delivery
approx $1,000 plus dealer prep and with popular options, was priced at
$29,100.

BTW, the window sticker on the 1975 PB I bought from Arthur Glick GMC in
Liberty, NY was $33,500. We settled on $27,500. After using it for 10
years I sold it for $12,500 and a car. I sold the car a year later for
$17,500!
