G'day,

Awhile back I published a Steering Check procedure which Byron Songer
captured, polished up, and posted on the Eastern States GMC website.

When I wrote this I used the Maintenance Manual, Parts Book, and some other
references.

I did not "validate" the procedure on a GMC, it was just meant as a
guideline.

Steve Ferguson and Jim K noted that their experience showed checking the tie
rod ends as I had done might not find worn tie rod ends unless they were
severely worn.

I am planning on flying back to the USA to attend the Dixielanders Bean
Station Rally.

I would like to validate the procedure in general and see exactly what can
be determined by the procedure vis-à-vis the tie rod ends.

If anybody is having problems with their steering I would like to pull their
GMC on Al's pit and use it to validate the procedure.

Regards,
Rob M.
