Our '73 coach has 1/4x20 truss head screws into special inserts.
The 75 has weird special fasteners with a "hi-lo" thread that screw into the smc directly.
A cheap alternative is 1/4x20 truss head screws and some threaded inserts from mcmaster carr.
Lots of possibilities there. Here are some:

On both coaches, the bottom row of screws are just regular truss head sheet metal screws (eg #14 x 3/4"):
