Hi List,
I had an interesting experience this weekend while out in the coach. The closet door on my 77 Palm Beach came apart. The metal frame that apparently holds the door together started coming out from between the two sheets of laminate in the door. I was going to take it off the hinges and stow it until I got home but I couldn't see a way to get at the screws (without being able to open it past where it will hit the bed.)
I tried different ways of holding it together, but it came apart pretty fast so I went after it with panel bond adhesive and a couple of screws. That panel bond is pretty serious stuff and seems to hold but I set the door a little too high and now it hits the light in the hallway.
Can someone tell me how to take that door off?
What do you suggest for getting another door or finding a matching laminate to recover my door if I rebuilt it?
I can see the door to the head starting to lose it's outer cover. What are you guys doing to stop the damage?
Thanks,
Desmond
