I went thru the CARB , cleaned it and adjusted it, installed an auxilary electric fuel pump between the tanks and all new fuel lines.
The vacuum is good, the dash A/C is frigid and the old 403 is purring like a contented kitten. We decided to road test it's performance
before taking another long jaunt.
We put the "Ole Gospel Ship" thru the paces by taking her up and down Mount Cheaha, up and down Lookout Mountain, up and down
Signal Mountain, down thru Sesquatchie Valley, Up and down Sand Mountain and also the Big Rock at Nocalula.
The Tranny Re-Program Kit worked well, The Fan Clutch worked as it should, the water temp stayed on the cold side only climeng a little
near the end of each hard pull. No Vapor Locks Or Fuel Starvation and I did not have to use the electric fuel pump. I am very pleased
with the performance of the ole gal,
however just south of the Steel exit on I 59 South I did notice a slight viberation in the steering wheel when the ole gal got over 75 mph
BUT that could have been the road condition after all it is still Alebamy ~
Anyway , it was a good lil ole road test that went well and I am well pleased with the Ole Gal ~
