Good Morning
I have an under-hood solenoid that is activated with the key switch, it connects
the coach battery to a separate fuse panel that I have many accessories tied to
such as the leveling system, aux brake vac booster pump, elect mirrors, and a
few other accessories that I don't want "LIVE" after I turn the coach off.
Seems I need to replace this thing every year. I've searched and purchased the
largest amperage and most heavy continual duty ones I can find and they all die
within a year.
The current one failed during our trip back from Minnesota's north shore on
Sunday. I found myself on the hills of Duluth, MN with very poor brakes because
the booster pump quit due to the solenoid failure. I immediately knew what the
problem was, stopped and moved one wire to bypass the solenoid for the trip home
and all was well, but there must be a continuous duty solenoid on the market
that is heavy duty enough for this application.
Any recommendations ??
Thanks
Ray
