Greetings All. We just bought our first GMC after looking at them for years.
It's a 26' - '73 and yes... it's a big project. I just retired so I do have more
time. I've also redone a '68 Airstream, so I kind of know some of the ropes.
This weekend I am gutting the rear compartment and would like to know how to
pull the windows to re-seal them. I have all of the "inside" skin off down to
the coach frame and have removed the aluminum brackets that were screwed to
the aluminum window frames on the inside. It would seem that I've removed
everything that could be holding the windows in place from the inside. The coach
has lots of water damage below the windows so I'm sure this needs attention. I
was about to just start tapping the window frames with a mallet from the inside
and decided I better ask for advice first!!!
Also, one of the rear glasses is missing on this coach (D. Side... last window
on the rear side). How does one go about acquiring glass???
Take care and thanks in advance for any assistance you could provide!
Lyle
