Replace the OEM fan shroud contraption with a fiberglass one from Frank Jenkins or Bert & Faye Curtis. If not already split, split it in two (horizontally with angle flanges to screw together). Now you should be able to remove the lower 1/2 shroud in <5 min. and make everything on the front of the engine easy to access.

As long as I am looking at some serious in-season wrench time, Can a split fan shroud be installed without removing the radiator, condenser and trans cooler?
