I took the coach to Sault Saint Marie Michigan from the south. That requires crossing the Mackinac Bridge. We did that before and the toll was about (IIRC)1.50$ per axle (OK it was a rip-off for a GMC). Total of 4.50.

That was then.

This is now.

Motorhomes now have a special rate of 4.50 per axle (all motorhomes) and they have ZERO understanding that a GMC has a tandem as opposed to a dual axle). The 30k# pusher ahead of me paid 9$, I was charged 13.50$.

I am going to write a nice, but unfortunate letter to the Mackinaw Bridge Authority and tell them that neither I nor any other GMC owner is going to pay that fare if if can ever be avoided.

If I even get a response, I will expect it will do no good at all, but I AIN'T DOIN' THAT AGAIN.
