Iunderstand there is a maximum allowed clearance in the lower ball joint.  As best I could find the number is .095.  Is that correct?  Measured by putting a jack under the lower control arm and levering the tire up and down.  I'm having a hard time getting a definitive answer.  As I recall, the lower ball joints are designed to have significant clearance.  I seem to have one that is less than .095 and one that is a little more.  And these are replacement ball joints (bolted).
Thanks,
Gary Casey
