I couldn't get mine off, so removed the starter to hold it at the ring gear.  That didn't work with the leverage I had working under the coach, so a borrowed an impact wrench.  Pumped the compressor up to the max and then hit it with a few short bursts(longer bursts will just pull the pressure down and won't be effective).  Came right out with nothing holding the crank.  With an impact wrench you don't need to hold anything.  Should use a genuine impact socket - I cracked my standard socket :-(.  JWID.

I am either going to wrap the sucker a few rounds with a ratchet strap and lock to the frame rail or make a bar with two holes and a clearance notch to lock the crank against the ground or frame rail so I can break the sucker loose with an impact wrench or a cheeter bar.

Sir: maybe put 2 longer bolts in the pulley holes and use a flat bar between them to hold.  Usually short bursts from a  1/2" impact gun with a 1/2" air line will break it loose.
Good Luck....
