Funny, I don't hear much on the Net about Golby or Cinnebar, well,
nothing very positive. I don't have any experience with them, but they
certainly cater to us.

We talk frequently, and positively, about many of our vendors, but I just
don't hear a lot about Cinnebar or Golby. Any reason why?

Golby and Cinnabar are somewhat aloof toward their customer base. Once
when the Sunshine Statesmen were having a rally in the Keys we spotted a
GMC as we entered the CG and a delegation went over to invite the
occupants to join us. The occupant was Golby and gave our club members
the 'cold shoulder'. I don't actually know of anyone who does business
with Golby. Years ago I had to buy a knuckle from him because he wouldn't
sell it to Jim B, where my coach was being repaired.

As for Cinnabar, I've had no experience with them altho I could never get
any cooperation from Wes with regard to the GMC Registry. He just said he
didn't know why we had one and didn't see any value. That was 15 years
ago. I suspect he hasn't changed his mind altho I haven't spoken with him
since.

Zeb Frady is another shop who doesn't seem to court GMC owners. As a
result Zeb and Cliff Golby do a lot more non GMC RV service compared to
Applied, Coop and Sirums who are GMC dedicated shops. Sirums is not
active on the Net but both Alex and Jeff have always been active at the
club level.

The preceding is my opinion formed over a lot of years of fooling around
with the classic GMC motorhome.
