On one coach at Hamilton, after we replaced all of the body isolators we quit for the day. Two days later the owner wanted to check the front ride height. We pulled it back on the pit and I said that the rear height needed to be checked first. He said it definitely was OK. We checked and it was equally low on both sides (about 1/2 inch). Then Jim Miller said "sure, the leveling switches are mounted on the body and the other end of the link was mounted to the bogie. The body is now higher so the switch adjustment will be incorrect".
I replaced my isolators a few years back and never checked the rear ride height after that. Today I did check it and sure enough mine is also about 1/2" low on both sides.
I bought a pair of turn buckle style links from Colonel Ken a few years back. I never installed them because my ride height was perfect so why mess with it. Well now it is time to install them since I have to adjust them again and who knows where they are. If I do not find them my morning I guess I'll just adjust them the old way.
The point of this whole posting is:
If you replace the body isolators, also readjust the leveling switches.
