The (+) and (-) signs mark the DC output
and should be across from each other.

The AC input to the bridge rectifier goes
to the terminals that are 90 degrees away
from either the (+) and (-) DC terminals.
It doesn't matter which AC wire goes to
which AC terminal.

Normally, DC wiring uses RED for positive,
just like your battery cables. Black was
the standard for the DC negative for years
but is gradually being replaced by yellow
in cases where both AC and DC systems exist
such as in boats.

The color change is to greatly reduce the
possibility of getting AC and DC wiring
mixed up since BLACK is used for the hot
in 120V AC circuits and WHITE is used for
the common side.

You can see that getting the negative 12V
DC wiring confused with the 120V AC hot
wiring can be VERY dangerous.

Any NEW 12V DC wiring I install in Money
Pit will use the RED/YELLOW convention.
