Well, It dawned on me today. After 5 years, I now have a usable coach. The determining factor is that the toilet is now usable. That's right. I finally completed my "Wet Systems Test" today. All my new plumbing works 100%. The only relic left from the old system is the City water pressure regulator, a 160-1 Shur Flow. It leaks go figure. The only part I didn't change failed, but I half expected that. I remember my Dad changing this stupid thing on our 1976 Six Pac camper a few times.
I took the little bugger apart, and All I really need to do is change the seal at the inlet so it functions properly as a check valve. I cleaned out all the rust, but since the MFG ground the springs flat at each end, it will probably rust again. Maybe I will use a *normal* regulator and install a hose reel. No worries, my tanks do not leak and my pump system works really well. Hot and cold running water. Wow. A milestone has been reached.
I started the day installing the second slider valve at the tank flange per Dan and a few others' suggestion. Macerator is installed, but still need to wire.
Next step is to send the carb off for rebuild and connect the fuel and elect lines to the genny, and get a couple of golf car batteries. The rest of the trim work can wait. I'm going camping...
