I got the same tool "Craftsman" brand from Sears as a Christmas gift. I have used every blade in it. So far I have cut wood (3/4"), paneling, FRP, pvc, soft copper, masonite siding, thin aluminum, small nails, removed tile grout, thinset, silicone caulk, & panel adhesive. It's just an overall good versital tool. Glad to have it in my tool box.
The one that I'm waiting to go down in price is the "Dual Saw". It's a very fasinating tool. Check it out.

Last fall Gene posted about the Harbor Freight multi-tool -- the ideal tool for a GMC.
I recently purchased one -- $34.99 at the local store. After a few trial cuts I can see why the excitement. It does a really nice job with flush cuts in wood. I also had reasonable success using wood blocks as an edge guide when making plunge cuts.
In comparing it to a Dremel multi-tool -- the Dremel has several different speeds and more of the pins on which the blades fix. The HF multi tool only uses four pins.
The HF half-circle blade seemed like it wore quickly. Replacement HF blades are $7.99.
Any experience with other blade suppliers? I see Lowes has Bosch blades -- but at $24.99 for the half circle.
Future projects include cutting pvc pipe...
