Hi,
I have a master switch that cuts power from the engine battery. I have purchased a Transient Spike Protector from Balmar
http://www.balmar.net/page23-accessories.html . These are also sold as ZAPStop http://www.e-marine-inc.com/products/alternators/zapstop.html. This prevents the alternator from blowing should I switch the main power off while the engine is running. The TSP connects from the postive terminal of the alternator to ground.

Gene, (or anyone)
Would you know if the TSP would prevent your APC from operating as it should. I have an APC installed.

Thanks
