Well vacation came and went without modifying my generator access door to allow for additional cooling air. Mine has the door hinge riveted, but I assume replacing the rivets with bolts/nuts would be okay.

Does anyone have pictures of their genset doors thay may have modified if they run something other than an Onan? I have a louver from a fridge vent but it's too big. I have a louver from the ductwork section of Home Depot but I thought I'd see how others do it before making a cut on mine.

Can replacement doors be located if for some reason this goes horribly wrong? It's okay to lie to me, it's only to reduce anxiety and make for more relaxed and better workmanship.

Zen and the angle grinder!
