Making progress in the process of getting the hub spacers installed. Thanks to all for info and advice on the jack questions. Stopped at Harbour Frieght this morning. OMG it's worse than Home Depot for a person with my weaknesses/addictions. I could hear the sucking sound pulling on my bank account when I opened the door. They didn't have any low-profile 4-ton bottle jacks, though they did have a 3-ton floor jack for $100 and some jack stands for $20. I was a little overwhelmed by it all so just looked and didn't buy. I'll make another trip to the store closer to me this weekend.

In any case, looking forward to sometime soon when I'll have a jack and jack stands and will get it up in the air and get the wheels off and put the hubs on.

So now the torque question. I may have mentioned that auto mechanic-wise I'm a real novice. I know about torque wrenches, but don't own one. When I put the hub spacers on, can I just crank them down tight to my feel, like you would putting on a tire (presumably doing the star-rotation or whatever it's called, alternating tightening from one side of the hub to the other) or do I need to buy a torque wrench?

Thanks
