I just started to maintained the generator so that I could use it. I found an exhaust leak were the muffler mounts to the exhaust manifold. I took off the muffler and was surprised to find it was loose and held on by two self tapping screws into the exhaust manifold and clamp that did not seal the exhaust. The muffler mounting bracket was broken. The vertical pipe was the wrong size. I fixed the pipe 1 3/8 and it now fits 1 1/4. Has anyone had to build a new bracket to hold the muffler and if so how. From looking at the few views in the manuals it looks like the muffler is supposed to be rigid mount.
