I recently pulled and rebuilt the cockpit side windows, replaced all the rubber,
sealed the obvious holes top and bottom, and still had about as much water coming in as before.
Then I realized a major problem -- the front bottom corner of these windows has a joint in
both the aluminum and the rubber. Water just runs down the corner and into the beast.
My solution? Clean and apply a big gob of black rtv worked down into the aluminum channel at that corner.
Made the biggest difference I've seen so far.
Mines a '73, so don't know if later windows are the same (awful) design.
Now I just have to re-repair the side window which has a different design flaw...
