G’day,
I got a call from Simeon of Aerogel Australia today. He advised the
following:
1) Aerogel comes in varying thicknesses – 10mm / 5mm / 2mm (used for roll up
shades)
2) Aerogel 10mm comes in a roll that is 1440mm wide
3) Aerogel 10mm can be supplied in lengths as required
4) The price of Aerogel 10mm is $45.50 + 10% GST ($50.05) per square meter
5) There are supplies in Melbourne and Adelaide
Rough calculations:
GMC = 26’ L X 8’ W = 208 sq. ft. = 19.33 sq m X $50.05 = $967.46 AUD / $0.87
= $841.70 USD
I originally contacted Aerogel in the USA and they passed me to Aerogel
Australia, how about someone in the USA contacting them to see what it would
cost over there.
