I didn't realize IBM still had anything going on at RTP.
IBM tends to over react. Whenever I visited the IBM Boulder (CO) plant
they would evacuate the bldg every time a Chanute was expected. I imagine
the roof at RTP can't handle the potential snow load if it is wet.
At IBM Boca -ESD HQ at the time, they were worried about hurricanes
because the bldg was originally designed for IBM France which doesn't see
wind stress like Boca Raton (FL)
More than anyone wanted to know but once an IBMer always an IBMer. Same
with the Corp as I recall. Once a Marine Always a Marine!
