Having a choice in trans Lube.. I just had the lube in the 5 speed Ford Bronco 2 Changed and put in Dextron lube. Now I find out that the manual calls for SAE 80 W. Should I drain the Dextron out and put in 80 w --or is there that much difference???
Advice needed

Steve,
You make a statement and ask two questions.
Many manual transmissions use ATF as a lube, and it usually works. I don't recall what transmission was standard in the Bronco II.
Yes, There is a lot of difference.
Dextron (all versions and Dexron) are about SAE 20. If that actually matters, I cannot tell you without knowing more.
You say you had it changed. Did you pay someone to put the wrong fill in it? If so, was it his idea or yours. If it was his, take it back and let him fix it.
If it were mine and I planned to sell it soon, or it did not have much longer to live in any other case, I'd leave it.
On the other hand,
If I planned to be driving it a few more years, I prefer it get the correct fill.
Maybe someone in a Bronco group can give you a more direct answer.
