After leaving a pleasant visit with Dave Greenberg and his wife the other day, I headed back toward A. Sirum's just to see the place since I was fairly close. Just beyond the shop was a sub-shop where I stopped at for lunch. After lunch the coach engine was hard to turn over when I tried. Just got it going then headed straight to Sirums to have it checked out. A quick look by Jeff S. indicated a bad starter battery. Pulled around back and further diagnosis confirmed initial guess. A check of my on board records indicated that my five-plus year old battery was out of warranty and a new one was obtained at a near by Auto Zone. While there, I asked Jeff if he could do an updated appraisal for insurance purposes and while that was happening (along with many other repair projects for other GMCers) I pulled my steering wheel to tighten a loose turn
signal lever.  Next day  after all was signed sealed and delivered, I had lunch with Jeff and all the culprits then I was on my way to Tittusville to meet up with the winter contingent of the Great Lakers for a few days.
How's that for having a GMC angel on my shoulder? Break down in the middle of nowhere? Piffle!
(said with fingers and toes and all else crossed)
