Had a similiar problem. Diaphragm in my brake booster had gone bad.
Replaced it and the master cylinder and was back in business.

You guys are good. Gave me the same information that Jim K. did. I
do have a temp gun. What should they be, temp wise? How much
difference from front to rear temps? I unhooked my auxillary vacuum
pump but still have the problem. I could not find a leak in the line
and the engine idles fine. The pedal is hard just like it always has
been. What might cause the fronts to stop working? I checked the
fluid levels and it was good. Should I jack up front and start engine
to see if brakes stop the front wheels from rolling?
