Drove the coach the other day out on the local roads, ran great, normal temps, oil pressure. When I took my foot off the gas the engine went to a high idle, around 1000 rpm. Each time I had to tap the gas to get it to idle normal.
Any suggestions as to what would cause this?

Other than a sticking throttle (which I doubt) it's probably hanging up on the fast idle cam. That could be due to the choke not fully releasing--is it unusually cold there?

I had exactly the same behavior with my coach. I sprayed a bit of
liquid graphite (for lubing lock cylinders) on the cable at the carb
and my troubles went away.

This morning it was 34 on my back porch, however, the day in question was nice, probably in the 70's. I will take a look at the cable. Really not sure what to look for, another first. <bg>

When you have the hatch open, take the top off the aircleaner and see if the choke plate opens completely.

Heh, I just tried to start her and now I have another problem.
Insert key, buzzer sounds, turned to start and all dash lights went out and not sounds. no solenoid click nothing, checked ground, tried battery boost, same thing.

BTW, I did lube the throttle/choke assy. Now I need to find out why she does not want to start.

A ground or hot connection really is bad when you
try to start it. The great amount of current you
attempt to initiate cause a HUGE voltage drop at
whatever point(s) have the high resistance joint.
